VERDE 2030 is a building sustainability assessment and certification tool developed by GBCe to support the design, construction, renovation and operation of sustainable buildings. The tool evaluates environmental, social and economic impacts throughout the building life cycle, integrating criteria related to energy efficiency, carbon emissions, resource consumption, circular economy, occupant wellbeing and climate resilience. Aligned with European frameworks such as Level(s), the EU Taxonomy and decarbonisation objectives, VERDE 2030 provides a structured methodology for assessing building sustainability performance. Within EXCEL4Housing 4.0, the tool supports the development of competencies in energy-efficient renovation, lifecycle thinking, circular construction, sustainable project management and climate compliance. It can be used both as a practical assessment instrument and as a learning resource for training professionals involved in the green and digital transition of the construction sector.
